He's a real beauty. He feeds on rats I suppose? do the yellows ever graduate to rabbits or are they fine on rats? Also f/t or fresh killed?

Re: He is just so snuggly
My yellow eats rats, chickens and small rabbits. I have a female, and she's 4 yrs. old soon and around 9 - 10 feet.
Fiend - Nice pics.

Male Yellows don't need to ever switch to rabbits, not that he wouldn't/couldn't eat it.. its just they never usually get that big.
Females will eat a smaller rabbit no problem.
He is feeding on 2 F/T small rats.
He could eat a medium, but we have a tooooon of small rats right now.

Re: He is just so snuggly
pretty snake but I can see my mother if I told her I had a con lo.. she upset with the redtail boa I have here cause she thinks the cats are a meal when the dumb furrballs go into the room and start to mess with her cage. I know she will eat about a 2-3 lb rabbit but I don't give her too amny of those meals since it a large mess to clean up lol..
I keep telling mom I gonigot get a burmese if the area cats keep appearing in te house for food. I ment it This was not a cat drop off point for the world strays. I not a cat hater but It after 3 they become more of a invasive spieces than anything. I found cats in my truck frame hitching a ride to a fire call many a time over the years. they bail as I shut the truck off and run to the building ( and the guys laugh as it bolts to the woods ) once of these days it be a a engine cleaning ( shutters at the though )
