    Another feeding question.

Ok so as the title states this is a feeding question. I was wondering if it is ok to feed a BP two smaller meals, say a small mouse today and tomorrow, rather than one large mouse today?

    Thanks for your input!!!!

    Re: Another feeding question.

Me personally it is better to feed one appropriately sized meal every 4-7 days. This way their system is able to digest the first meal totally before another.

I feed my snakes multiple mice once every 7 days.

    Re: Another feeding question.

I guess i should have explained more. I am waiting on a mice order for larger mice, but in the mean time i have small mice in abundance. My crew is hungry and i was more wondering if it was ok on a " once in a while" basis.

    Thanks again,
    Bill

Why not feed 2 small mice today?

I would say to try one mouse then after he/she takes it and gets it down offer another. If it takes another than great! If its like mine though and wont take 2 in a row I wait a few days and then offer another. (3-5 days later) Hope this helps and good luck.

I've got a male ablino that will not take a second meal on the same day. When he gets one down, he just goes off and will not think about a second meal. All snakes are different, try it, it won't hurt anything!

    Re: Another feeding question.

Feeding mulitples is about timing. My pastel boy, ED, will take 2 mice only if I offer his second one while his first is still being worked down. Generally right after the mouse's tale disappears.

2 in day can be done, for sure. I wouldn't go for 2 feeds in 2 days, personally.
