Size of snake:Size of Tank ratio..

i haven't really been on here in a while, but that doesn't mean that I got rid of my BP=P. I've just been busy with school, work, IRL issues. Pete is getting pretty big since the last time you guys have seen him, and I was planning on taking pictures tomorrow and posting them in this thread when I get them uploaded. I was curious on what size BP's fit with what size tanks. I'm sure his tank is still fit for him to live in, but when he starts getting bigger, I don't want him to feel cramped. any suggestions?

That is tub sizes, not tank sizes.

I would put a hatchling up to a year old in a 10g and then move it to a 20g long. A male should be fine in a 20gL for the rest of its life but a particularly large female would be better in a 30gL.

Don't be sorry, lol, thanks for the searching, if I decide to go with tubs to save money, now I know where to look. Thanks.

Thanks, this helps a lot. Well, Pete's tank should be fine for him for a while at least.

Re: Size of snake:Size of Tank ratio..

The general rule is the tank should be 2/3 the length of the snake! Ex: 3 foot snake, 36 inches divide by 3=12 times 2=24, so a 3 foot snake needs a tank 24 inches of two feet long!
