Yeahman, me and my earth dragons of Delphi like to hunt alligators (and people)(but mostly infants and puppies) down in the 'glades all the time.
Ya know what? I'm gonna risk getting flamed and say that it seems very "American" for a news outlet's website to suggest that people go out and kill these animals. Just sayin.

They are invasive and need to be captured and euthanized.

Not adopted into good homes?
I absolutely agree they need to be taken out of the glades, I just don't agree with certain methods of getting that done.
Besides, I doubt they will be captured and humanely euthanized... Or maybe I misunderstand how "Hunting" works

A good hunter tries to kill the animal as quickly as possible to minimize suffering.

There are only a select few that were granted permits, they have to humanely euthanize on site or at a faciity. Severing the spinal cord from the brain is the most humane way to euthanize a burm.
I think they can keep them too, not sure, but however they get removed is cool with me. Adoption or death, they gotta go.

Nope. We need to know what's going on. If nothing negative was posted, no one would know about the python ban bill. That bill is certainly negative!

We should also make a point to respond whenever we have the option of commenting on stories like this. Just be sure to use your spell checker, make sure your facts are correct, and be polite. If you don't sound intelligent in a comment, the entire community doesn't sound intelligent.
People do read those comments. The worst thing we can do is let bad press stand unrefuted. We need good press too--and we should proliferate any good press we find as widely as possible, but we can't ignore bad press and just let it go.
