    Snake rack worth getting

Well I'm not sure if I can post the link to the kijiji ad, but its a 5 tub melamine rack, the tubs are 34 1/4" x 16 1/2" x 6", and its $150... Only problem, no way of heating... So should I skip it or get it and wait till I can afford some flexwatt/other way of heating and a good thermo(stat/meter)?

And if I should buy it, what would you guys recommend for heating and stuff?

Somebody tell me if I'm allowed to put the link in so you guys can see the pics and ad themselves.

Yeah you can post a link.

Reptile Basics has great racks. If you cant afford proper caging and heating (this includes quality T-stat) then you probably cant afford proper health care if something were to go wrong. If you can afford good caging then there is no reason to not go with Reptile Basics There are other good rack builders out there but Rich is the only one I've dealt with. I also heard that melamine can give of noxious chemicals, some one correct me if I am wrong.

Sorry If this sounds rude I just couldn't think of another way of putting and getting my point across.

Robin has a great line in her sig; you buy cheap you get cheap, you buy quality you get quality.

Take off the back and do back heat. You can always heat it. haha.

If you can't afford some flexwatt and a good thermostat, digital thermometer/hygrometer, and IR thermometer (and don't have those things already), dont get the rack. All of those things are required to turn an unheated rack into a safe heated one.

If you have a heated room to the low to mid 80s and a ceiling fan, then you can use an unheated rack. The issue with heated rooms is there is no thermograde to allow the snakes to thermoregulate.

Back heat is a viable option but you still need a quality heat source and a quality way to regulate it.
