    no pics?
Its always better to do your research before you get the snake.
The Best way is to seach the topic you need in the search tab above.

Be prepared to answer a few questions as your post gains responses.

What do you house it in? How big is it? where did it come from- breeder or pet store? What did they tell you? (If a pet store- keep an open mind to other peoples ideals on the subject). What supplies do you use? ie: bedding, heating source, etc.

    Good luck.

Re: Just got My ball python yesterday.

    Hi,

The basic handling advice is to wait at least a week before starting to handle her.

But also do not handle for two days after feeding so after the week is up offer a food item the same girth as the widest part of the snake and, if it eats, wait another two days at least.

Have a browse around while you are waiting - we have some really good threads that should help with some of the more basic questions.

Well congrats and welcome to the forum! Warning...BP's are an addiction!!

I would like to invite you to go into the husbandry forum and look up the care sheet. This was the best information that I have ever read when I first got my BP. It will answer all of your housing, temp and feeding questions.

Also the hardest part of owning a BP is not playing with it for the first week and letting it get use to its home.

By the way...your normal is very beautiful!!! Have fun with her and if you have any questions...this is the best forum to find out (usually) awesome information.

Nice looking normal! Nothing wrong with normals. This is a good way to get your feet wet if this is your first ball python. Do like the others say and look around this site. This site is a great source for information, either in past post or current ones. Welcome to the site and to the addiction!
