    superworm pupae....wow

I just got my first superworm pupae. Holy crow that thing is freakishly large. lol. I have a couple hundred mealworm pupae and they don't bother me at all, but when I opened the container and saw this thing my jaw dropped. Alright, I don't really have a question I just had to get that off my chest...lol

The first time I saw one, it was just sitting on my desk when I opened something. I did not know what it was at first and freaked the heck out of me. Then the thing moved and twitched. It was like some kind of alien creature.

    Here's my pics...

Mealworm beetles...some have just turned to beetles today...

Mealworm pupae next to a superworm. You can probably figure out which is which

Here's how I keep my superworms ready to pupate. They are just craft bead boxes I picked up at wal-mart for $3 or so.

What's really freaky is when you pick them up and they thrash around. It still gets me every time. I have to use a spoon to transfer them.
