Re: does anyone know about these

I am a newt and salamander breeder. The glow on the dark axolotls have a proper term. GFP/green floresent protein! Gfp axolotls glow under black light and have green pupils aswell. They do give off slight green glow in normal light. Basically scientists installed floresent green protein in into the DNA of these salamanders, so ofcourse this DNA trait will pass on to offspring.

I will have some of these available in a couple months. I will also have 4 other color morphs aswell. At this moment I have albino and golden albino available for $12 each at 3inches. If anyone is interested please pm me.

Re: does anyone know about these

I saw them at the White Plains Reptile Expo but I don't know much about them. They're pretty awesome though. I wouldn't mind getting a few someday. Hopefully someone knows something about husbandry, etc. for them.

    How do they sleep? :S

EDIT: Oops, reread and saw that they glow under black light. Makes more sense haha.
