Look into the Zune's, you get more space compared to Ipods.
I also try to sway ppl away form Ipod due to the occasional ipod getting hot and exploding. IM sure many Ipod users as heard this story about Apple trying to hush the customer up and pay them to shut up.
But i like the Zune for the price and speediness of the loading times.

It depends on what you're looking to do with it. if you'd like a mini computer in your pocket, get the latest ipod. but if you'd like a music player, i'd go zune. more bang for your buck

Creative.
I have had several and am now a customer for life. I will never own an ipod.

Too much hassle using itunes to get music on your ipod.
When you can get another MP3 where you just drag and drop the songs into a music folder.

Vote for Zune right here, I have purchased 2 for myself (First gen 30 (BROWN EVEN) and just got a ZuneHD 16) .. and I love both. I have a first gen iPod Touch that is nice, but not really a music player for me .. just for the apps.
I actually have another Zune on the way to me, 4gb old small one (well, new one but they stopped making it) to replace her old iPod Shuffle.
Zune.
