    Lines of axanthics

Well I have 2 questions for this one.

    PART1
How would I be able to tell if my axanthic comes from a VPI (or is just an axanthic in this case) ?

I know you would ask do you know and trust the breeder, and the answer is I dont know the breeder or anything about him till I ask'd the seller where my axanthic came from. He didnt say much. Soooo.....

    PART 2
So does anybody know anything much about GBU enterprises? I guess thats where my female came from.

Would a picture help figure out what line she is?

    Re: Lines of axanthics

You wouldnt be able to tell what line of axanthic it is just by looking at a picture, like it is with most pastels. The only way to know the line is from the breeder/seller. A picture will only tell you if it is an axanthic or not.

As Danny stated, there is no way to tell by looks. You need to make an attempt to contact the breeder and ask. Price may be able to help you determine, as generally, VPI line animals are the most expensive, with Joliff and TSK lines being less desirable and less expensive (there is a long history here and I am not trying to be demeaning, but stating the facts).

p.s. I do not know anything about GBU enterprises.

Don't know the line. Well that makes it a challenge-

Without knowing which line Axanthic something that the Seller or Breeder should have told you're you're kinda SOL. There are 3 main lines of Axanthic VPI, Jolliff(sp?) & SK... not to mention a few more WCs that come in on occiasion.

To my knowledge, NONE are compatible with each other. No way asking us can answer your question you'll need to ask your source.
