Do you think she'll be okay?
Hey everyone i have a normal BP pretty close to 2 feet. She just ate .Shes in a 10g enclosure until i build her a rack for christmas. since its winter, my room gets pretty cold at night. im guessing somewhere in the high 60's to low 70s. I have her on a heat pad connected to a thermostat 24 hours a day. Shell be okay as long as she has a constant basking spot of 90-94 right? just checking because i dont want her to be unhealthy since bps arent suposed to go below 75F.
thanks

Re: Do you think she'll be okay?
If the ambient air temperature gets below 75*, I would do something about it. Either get another UTH or a small space heater or -gasp- a lamp of some sort.

Hi,
I would try and pick up a red or blue bulb and a dimmerswitch to control it ( at a minimum ).
That shouldn't break the bank but will still hopefully let you keep the ambient temps up - have you insulated the back, sides and bottom of the tank yet?
That can really help too.

Re: Do you think she'll be okay?
Well, you shouldn't have anything other than a red or moonlight bulb shining on the snake at night. Just so it doesn't screw with their sleep schedule. They at least need to know its night time.

Re: Do you think she'll be okay?
Hi,
I can't see it causing problems for just one night as long as it is controlled in some way so that it doesn't over heat the tank.
I'm not sure about the corns - what are the dimensions of that size of tub and how long and heavy is the corn snake?
They move about a bit more than BP's but I'd throw a thread up in the corn snake section and get more peoples opinions.
