Could this be a coincidence or does she have mites! Panicking here!

I don't know if I am being paranoid and making a big deal or if I need to be concerned. Yesterday I saw a tiny, I mean tiny white bug when I opened Penny's cage. It wasn't even in her cage, it was on the lip of the cage. I immediately thought oh shoot she has mites. i came on here and started looking around. Well, it could be wood mites. I have not seen any more but tonight I went to check on her. She was on her log as she usually is this time of night. Tonight though, I saw her rubbing her face against the log a little. Could she just have had an itch or does she have mites in her pits! I looked really closely through the glass and still have not seen one other mite at all though. I just fed her last night so I don't want to handle her to run her through a wet towel to see if mites come off. I peeked in her water bowl and I don't see any in it. Do I go ahead and get some PAM and treat as a precautionary measure? I hate the idea of using chemicals around her if I don't need to. If I do use PAM do I still need to treat her with reptile relief or anything? I am kind of panicking here! Do I wait it out and see if I see any more first? how did she get mites? I have had her for about 8 weeks now and have seen no signs up until now. Help!

I doubt you have mites if they were white.
I recommend using PAM anyway though, should kill any buggers that are in the cage. You can use Reptile Relief but if you don't see any mites on her directly I don't see why you would, and it's not needed with PAM.

Just make sure to follow the instructions on the can of PAM when using it.
