Thread: First BP bite

    First BP bite

    Today was the first day I've tried to get my snakes on F/T rats. I placed a thawed rat in each enclosure and after a few minutes I decided to grab the rat and move it to mimic live prey. Needles to say he must have already been in "feed mode", so when I reached in...he tagged me pretty good! I guess that's why people use tongs and hemostats! Lesson learned!

    Anyway...that pastel male ate his without hesitation...the female spider seems like she will be a bit more work. The opposite of what I expected.

    ...and here is a pic before anyone asks!

    My first bite which was the same exact thing happened to me a few weeks ago!

    Yeah, it wasn't bad, but I just figured i'd share. He's an 09 and still on the small side.
