Humidity in racks for bps?

Hey guys i have a quick question. i live in california a few streets up from the beach and the humidity is reletively high here. i want to purchase a cb70 rack from reptilebasics.com. Im just worried that the humidity will be to high in the tubs and it might create probs for my bps.. i had one bp in a tub before and my hygrometer said like 85% but i was never sure if it was accurite. i once had someone tell me that as long as water(condensation) is not dripping from the sides, then im good. so whats your opinion on this?

I pretty much agree with that assessment. As long as the bedding/newspaper is dry, and there is no condensation, slightly elevated humidity shouldn't cause any issues. Most of us have problems getting the humidity up high enough.

Use a soldering iron to make a double row of holes along the upper edges of the bins. This will improve ventilation and reduce humidity buildup.

If you have plenty of holes for ventilation and the humidity is still too high, try getting a ceramic heat emitter and turn it on close to the rack. I don't know for sure that this will work, but I used to use one for heat when I had my boa, and my humidity was almost impossible to keep up because of the CHE (I didn't know it at the time). When I switched to a normal heat lamp the humidity went up. Don't know for sure that it will work, but they really seem to suck up extra humidity.
