Heat mats for rack system
I'm planning to build a small rack for lidless tubs, and will be using heatmats (since in europe it's difficult to get flexwatt) connected to a single thermostat (Habistat pulse proportional). What do you think?
Will it be a problem if there is no gap between the mat and the tub or between the mat and the rack?

Re: Heat mats for rack system
If there is no air circulation between the UTH and the rack it will ruin the UTH. That is why when you purchase a UTH it comes with those little stubs that are sticky on one side (you put them under a tub/tank and it elevates the tub/tank a bit so air can circulate underneath the tub/tank and the UTH).

Flexwatt would be best to use for a rack system.

I found some guys that actually use heatmats for their racks, I'll keep looking around.
Anyone knows of a good site that ships flexwatt to Europe please? And from your experience what's the usual lifetime of flexwatt?
