Infrared Heat Emitters on Humidity and Ambients

How will these work on raising the ambient temps of a 41qt tub? Will it concentrate too much heat in one area? I plan to remove a large section of the tub's lid, cover it with wire mesh, and place a infrared heat emitter on top.

Also, do these zap humidity the same way normal heat lamps do?

    Thanks,
    Dennis

I use them but not on my tubs. They do fine with humidity if you have a problem put the water bowl directly under it humidity will go up.

Re: Infrared Heat Emitters on Humidity and Ambients

    Thanks.

I've read that they emit loads of heat and that they may be a bit much for a tub, especially one that is only 6" tall.

If its under the control of a thermostat, would you agree with this? People were worried that they would put most of their heat in one concentrated area of the tub, causing a potentially harmful spot.
