    Rotterdam Zoo - Holland

My wife and i attended the European Studbook Foundation annual meeting, which this year was held at Rotterdam Zoo in Holland. Unfortunately the meeting went on a little longer than plan and we didn't have much time to have a wander round the zoo, from what i did see the zoo was pretty good.

Hope you enjoy some of the pictures.........

Giant Tortoises - They had 6 of these beasts, very impressive.

The glass was a bit dirty!!!

Next the Reptile House which had a nice selection of animals.

    Komodo Dragon

    Crocodile

My, what big teeth you have!!!

They also had a nice group of Shinnys

And part of the reason i went - to see the Sungazers they keep. Unfortunately by the time we got round to see them ( about 5:30 in the afternoon ) they had retreated to their hide. Here is the best of a bad bunch of pictures.

And their enclosure - you can see a Tent Tortoise in this picture too.

    And some non reptile pictures.

They had a really nice Praire Dog exhibit.

    Toco Toucan feeding young.

    Hyacinth Macaw

    Hope you enjoy the pictures!!

Those are really nice! Thanks for sharing!! That's a pretty amazing close-up of the croc teeth! Kind of gives me the shivers to see 'em that close! LOL
