If you can take a picture, you should asap.

Sounds like if the scales are coming off clear she is shedding, but if they are coming off all together that could be scale rot which needs a vet ASAP!

Check the humidity, you need to make sure it is ATLEAST 70% humidity while she is in shed. If you need help getting your humidity to stabilize, you should ask someone on this forum or post a thread asap as well.

Not true. 50%-60% humidity during shed is just fine. Especially if the average humidity is stable in the 50% range all the time.

To the OP...I'm not sure what's going on with your snake. It's hard to tell anything by your description. Sometimes they will get little patches of gray or off-colored scales that are normal and harmless...but what you're describing sounds different than that.

Pictures would help, if you can get some clear, detailed pics. And a full description of your set-up might help us diagnose husbandry issues for you.

Re: Gray scales on BP and scale loss

i cant say for sure but it could be either scale rot or a burn
scale rot can be either bacterial or fungal.
i would put it on dry paper towels. if the belly gets any redish, brownish (rust colored) looking scales i would contact the vet asap

oh yes and 70% is not needed!
