Can you adjust humidity in tubs without adjusting temps?
I am looking at moving my adult bp from a tank to a tub. I have got the tub set up and have the temps where I want but the humidity is at 85%! I was wondering what can I do to drop the humidity without loosing temp. I can't turn up my t-stat much more either.

You need to salder holes in the tub to let more air in.

Either add more holes or use an oscillating fan for ventilation. How big is the tub and how many holes did you put in it?... Rob

it's a 41 qt 6" high five holes about dime size two on one side three on another and I know putting more holes would lower the humidity but wouldn't it lower the temperature too?

Not necessarily, as long as the thermostat kept the temp up to the correct level the air holes would lower the RH because there would be more room for the humidity to escape along with the hot air... you could then cover/uncover some of the holes to adjust the humidity.
the holes would just make it less insulated so that the UTH would have to work more often...

It also depending on the humidity in your room.
But to raise humidity, you put more holes or cover some. And to lower, you put more holes.
Your hot spot, should keep the same temperature since it should be with a probe.
But beware, that it could also lower the temperature on the cold side if you have too many holes.

dime sized holes might be a little big... Try like 1/8" diameter holes next time.

Re: Can you adjust humidity in tubs without adjusting temps?
I just used a soldering iron to put my holes and I have about 15 or so holes on each of the long sides. For now it works. But, as the weather changes I may need to adjust the amount of open holes to adjust for the temp or humidity...
