    Possibly

I remember somebody wanting to see a video of my girl eating, so i'm getting ready to feed her and i'll try this time to catch her killing. Well the rat will already be dead, or atleast knocked out so, you'll get to see her coil atleast. Give me about 5 minutes.

Alright, so the video was finally processed by youtube. I only uploaded it there due to lack of having another place to upload it.

She stopped striking once I switched her over to F/T, and then I had to switch back to live(well pre-killed) because I live with a chick roommate and she can't deal with anything in the freezer. She's pretty laid back as far as eating and such because a lot of times she won't even bite, she'll wrap her head around it and then coil it. I'll have to catch that on video sometime.

As far as what I did to the rat, I hit the rat in the head to kill it.

With my notaeus, you'll either get one of two reactions:

1 - she smells the prey, gently opens her mouth and takes it from you (gentler than a dog accepting table scraps).

2 - she smells the prey and WHAM SLAM KABAAM!! she has two or three coils around the prey before you can say "Holy...."

She had a live mouse as her first meal but has been on f/t ever since. Generally if she has gone more than a week between feedings you'll get reaction #2. If she's eating weekly you're more likely to get reaction #1.

Nice vid. I still say she's awful small!!

    Thanks for sharing that Neal!

I love how she's so chill and laid back with the whole process. That's totally awesome. Now I totally want a Anaconda. Thanks alot J/K

But you mentioned not all condas will eat so gently correct?

She is a real beauty. I love how shiny she is!

I feed her a totally different method then you that's why. I like the size she is for her age, i'm not trying to breed her.

She's always laid back, she knows i'll take good care of her.

I said that some condas are hard to get started on rodents, not that they wouldn't eat gently. Some are good feeders, and some have problems getting started on rodents, I assist fed my girl for her first ever rodent, and she's been on them eating no problem since then.

Yea I love her and how shiny she is, especially after she sheds, which she should be going in soon, probably within the next 2 weeks.

Yep, did you see how long it took her to throw her coils, and actually wrap the rat up? LOL. She's a lazy girl but I love her because when I hold her she gets comfortable and she WON'T move at all, just chill. So it's really easy to take her places and such.

Wait 'til she puts some size on...

And I'm not breeding mine, either.
