    Moving to Tubs

I hate glass tanks! They are a pain in my *** to clean and they do nothing to help ventilation and reducing smell. And cleaning the glass is such a pain! So today I'm going out and getting two tubs and a thing of 1/4" hardwire cloth. I looked through the DIY on rat bins and I'm doing that (wire mesh on the sides rather than the top) so I can stack them to save space.

What size tub should I use for a 1.4 group of mice?

    cat litter pan will work

    but remember.....tubs have shorter sides....

be prepared to deal with the super fast and jumpy weanlings.

    Re: Moving to Tubs

Cat litter pans won't work because these need to be stand alone tubs, not part of a rack. I was thinking of just making a trip to walmart and seeing what they had and if it looks big enough, get two. Then I'm going to stop by Home Depot and Petsmart and pick up the hardwire cloth, zip ties, and some new water bottles (16oz).
