    Resp infection help

Ok, my male pastel has a respinfection. He's had one for a while now. He has already been to a vet and its on an injection of Genticide every 3 day's, He has already had 2 injections and his 3rd one is in 2 hours. He is still eating on his scheduled days but i dont think he is drinking. He doesnt really seem to be improving at all, just seems like hes getting worse. Is there anything i should be doing here at home to help? I've been cleaning his QT tub everyother day and raised his temps. Its that right?

    Re: Resp infection help

Typically depending on how bad the RI was before you started treatment you might not see any improvement of a week or more. Also the Vet may want to piggyback another inject-able to go on and help knock it out.. If the animal is eating that's a good sign. All the RI's I have ever dealt with the animal has gone off feed.
