    Shed after shed?

My little BP is currently about 2ft in length, so she obviously has some growing to due. However, she just finished her last shed not a week and a half ago, and her belly is already pink and her eyes turning milky blue. Is it okay that she is shedding so quickly? We did just switch to feeding small rats from mice... so I wonder if that has something to do with it.

    Re: Shed after shed?

We are feeding once a week. Now the first rat offered to her was offered off schedule... so it has gone as:

Two Mondays ago - adult mouse
Last Thursday- smallest rat you have ever seen
    This Monday past- small rat

    Re: Shed after shed?

If it keeps happening that often, it may be a sign of parasites. My original female started shedding once every three to four weeks, so I had her checked, and she had flagellates (one of the symptoms of which is frequent shedding). I'd say if it happens that quickly at least three times in a row to get her a fecal check.
