lol Marla. The go to the dollar store all the time for hides! I have some cool looking vases in a couple of enclosures. They look great and are very cheap. I recommend everyone take a trip to the dollar store!

Bob is to big for them now (Nanners uses one of them though) but I had taken the kids old Sidewalk Chalk buckets for lack of a better word and used those.

They are actually a rectangular bucket not round although I have seen round ones. And yes I cleaned em real good before and after each snake :D

I use the black plastic take out food bowls from my local carry-out.
Also those big plastic salad bowls like Subway and MacD's are using makes good hides.
Spotted in the plastic reusable section in the grocery store the 8"x8"x2" plastic pans with lids 3 for 2.98
And the $ store is the king of all the hides places.
Also swipe the big 3 and 4" pvc Y's and such from my plumbers when they do rough-ins on my houses.

How did you make it strong enough to with stand a ball from crushing it if it decided to get on top of it?

Chong - I got the moss here:

It was the third or fourth source I had tried seeing as how buying it in pet store is astronomically overpriced. GREAT for high-humidity needin' snakes like bloods. A lot of other stuff I wound trying with had way too many stems - I snagged the 2 cu ft bag for $17 ordering by phone. Nice as hell folks to boot.

GREAT posts, folks keep sharing/adding what you come up with or stumble upon.
