    It’s almost time! Yellow/Quince monitors!!!
Wellllll my golden girls are almost here... Dorothy & Blanche arrive tomorrow! They are sisters, yellow or quince monitors whatever you prefer. They have been raised together and were a hopeful pair that turned out to be 2 females so the seller parted with them and I snatched them up...

I’ve always wanted a pair or trio of lizards that lived together and I am getting my wish!

They are almost 2 years old. They were farm hatched from wild parents and the seller received them not long after they hatched.

I will have some work ahead of me as they haven’t been worked with on a daily basis but I am ready for the challenge!

Here is their set up... been working on it the last few days 5x2x2 nice big swim area that is heated, tiers hot spot some big climbing logs and a little lattice jungle gym corner that I put together.

All in all I am really liking how it turned out and I am excited for their arrival.

Are they V.melinus? If so, don't you think 5x2x2 is a bit small for two lizards that average about 4ft?

Yes that is the correct species. They are barely 2 so not full grown, they are also females so will be smaller and I never said this was there forever home. Everyone has to start somewhere ... right.

I will see how they do and progress and make their caging decisions based on that. However, I’ve talked to breeders and keepers who keep their animals in an array of cage sizes. So only time will tell.

This is the last pic of them I got from the seller. They aren’t even close to being as big as the large male in the video you shared.

Very cool lizards, & very convenient that you can easily tell them apart too. Let's hope they continue to live peacefully together...I'm kinda surprised they
do, actually. And we insist upon updates...;)
