Female is way passed her due date.
I have a female that was due to lay on 1/28. Up until a few days ago, she was laying tail in, in egg laying position. Now, she's resting head in as if she weren't gravid. I have access to x-ray equipment and took two views to see what was up. There are 7 eggs that measure 59+ mm in length, and I forgot to get a width and depth measurement.

I'd post the pics but don't remember how. I'm mostly looking for stories on how long your females went before they laid or it became an issue.

When did she ovulate or have her pre-lay shed?

I didn't write that down, but I counted 4 weeks + 2 days to get to 1/28 as the lay date. I've had many successful clutches, but never a female go this long.

Well the average is 45 days to egg from ovulation, but I have had females go as long as 65 days, depends on the female but also tempertures. (It's rare but does happen

One of the important thing with beeedings are date especially ovulation date, pre-lay can be tricky as I have seen female having 2 pre-lay shed (rare too but it happens). So next time write those down.

At this point it's about behaviour make sure the animal is not in distressed, make sure she is not swollen in the last third portion of her body.

How and where is she positionned when at rest?

Head inside the coil. She used to have an obvious bulge in the lower third, now she's almost flat. She isn't acting any different besides laying differently.

How do I upload pictures? I tried to do it in the gallery here to ling, but it said the pics were too big. I don't remember how else to do it.

Had her 2nd pre lay shed last Wednesday. She was just laying in a wide circle with her tail inside, so hopefully soon. Thursday I'm going to take more x-rays if she hasn't laid and probably visit my vet.
