Re: Funny Things We Say To Our Snakes
Somewhere along the line, my husband and I started using this higher pitched, goofy sounding voice as our two dogs' inner monologue. Our GSD has picked up on it and always does his head tilt when we talk like this (because he knows it's about him)... which is adorable and just encourages us to do it more lol. Annnnnd now I find myself using that same voice for all the animals in the house, and giving them their own internal thoughts and monologues.
We live in an interesting household lol

I tell the garters that they're good babies and then I correct myself because they're being little brats. Then I tell them that they're not good babies but at least they're cute babies. *Someone* likes to bite my finger when he's particularly hungry. The ball python is a good baby and never needs that corrected.
Re: Funny Things We Say To Our Snakes
I tend to humanize all my pets. I found myself saying to my boa "did you poop your pants" when I realized he had messed in his cage. I had to laugh at myself. "Pants" really!!!

Re: Funny Things We Say To Our Snakes
I often greet the room with “Hello, boys and girls”. When I have a snake out I usually ask some variant of “And just where do you think you’re going?” and then answer “I’m ‘splorin! Am big brave snek!” especially if they’re little ones. :) When I’m talking to them about the dogs, the dogs are hairy monsters, as in “you don’t want to go that way, there’s a hairy monster over there”, or “it’s ok, hairy monster’s sleepin’”. Feeders are often “mousies”, “meeses”, “ratses”, or just plain “foods”. Something about snakes brings out the LOL-speak. :)

Hahah this is all so funny!! Lmao.
I've began to call Dewey "booboo", and when I see him doing something silly my voice instantly gets really high pitched and goes "aww hiiii booboo!! What are you doing, huh/bubbuh/cutie?".
I also tend to do the "give them their own monologue" thing except Dewey's is apparently REEEALLY derpy, haha. Stuff like "suh kyoot", "nuh", "Wut chu lookin' et?" Etc. lollll.
Amazing how weirdly I talk to my snake within the first two days... Hahaha
Re: Funny Things We Say To Our Snakes
Usually if I talk to snakes it's to my bull to tell hi. To stop being cranky about nothing.:D:D Proof snakes have no external ears!

Yup me too. Like last week when I did a full tub clean/wash. That night she took a huge dump in the freshly cleaned tub. I wasn't impressed.
