Getting into photography, new toy!
I've been admiring the photos on this site and many others since I joined, and decided it was time to try my hand. So I went to Costco and picked up this little deal:

Hopefully that link works. I unwrapped the contents and am suddenly overwhelmed! Lol. I'll be doing a lot of reading here as soon as I finish installing the new 65 gallon sump for my cichlid tank. Any advice, tips, or links for beginner photography would be greatly appreciated!

So I've been fiddling with the camera, attempting some shots. I've definitely got a LONG way to go, but it's a start lol. I'm definitely impressed with the image quality over my old point and shoot, and my cell camera. Here's some of what I've done so far.
With the camera flash, I don't have a remote flash yet. (yes the glass is filthy, this was shortly after I finished with the sump, forgot to clean the glass first)

Still having problems getting a wider area of focus, as you can see from some of the snake photos. But the pics are definitely about 100% better than they were before the T2i!
