As if having an empty 10gal tank wasn't enough......

Ya'll know that feeling, when you have an empty tank, you get this intense urge (need?) to fill it with some fascinating critter? I've had an empty 10gal for a long time now...ever since the gerbil died shortly after we got Caesar (No, the two events are not related! LOL). I've spent many an hour dreaming up what manner of small, reptilian critter might enjoy living in it.

Well...today...I became the proud owner of a 45gal hexagonal aquarium tank...AND...a 75gal long! HOLYcow! What the heck am I gonna put in these? I don't know yet! I do know it is highly unlikely that we'll put anything in them before we move this summer...but in the meantime, I'll dream...and drive myself nuts!

The deal was just too good to pass up. $150 for both those tanks, plus a table that the 75gal sits on, with matching woodgrain. VERY sweet deal!

    Now.....what to put in them........???

Unless it's an odd shape, 4'/48". 75's are normally 55 gallon that are 18" wide instead of 12".

All I know is that it's a standard 75-long...so I would imagine maarken is right about that. All of it is still crammed into the back of the van until my hubby can help me wrestle 'em into the house.

LOL....Leon Skinks. If I were a boxing fan, that would probably actually be temping.

Cresties in the 45, Shaggy to the 75, and a Rankins in Shaggy's 20. :)

I'm seriously considering Cresties for the 45. Especially if there's no chance Dean would let me have a chondro. LOL Plus, I don't know if a 45 would be big enough for a fully grown one. Sure would be pretty in there, though. Cresties will too!

:) BP sounds like an obvious choice when considering what my next herp would be....but it's actually not appropriate for either of these tanks. The 45 is too small for a grown bp (it's more tall than long...hex shaped) and the 75 is too big. Besides...hubby wants me to get a cage that LOCKS for the BP. LOL
