    Calcium sand?
A little bit ago I was at a pet shop looking for decorations for my beardie's cage and I saw calcium sand. It said on the package that it was edible and safe for beardies as well as vet approved. I'd personally never use it but I'm just really curious if anyone has used it or heard of it and what their experiences were.

It is not safe. You should never use sand in an enclosure with a bearded dragon. The risk of impaction is too great.

    No sand
I would not use sand of ANY kind. My Bearded Dragon got impacted and it almost killed him. I switched to the reptile mats. They're cheaper and much easier to clean. It adds the same affect of sand without the hassles or dangers of real sand. Calcium sand may be "edible", but so is Play-doh. Eat enough of it and you're bound to get sick.

Please do not use sand of any sort, especially calcium sand! Once in their stomach, it hardens like cement.
