Snakes.

I have done tons of research, but I can not seem to find info on a snake that takes time to grow big. I am interested in a snake that can be really big such as 10 ft + . I know of many snakes that get big, but i cant find a lot of info on how long it would take them to get adult size. Any recommendations of snakes that take around 4 years to get 10ft plus?

There are never guarantees with animals. But my first thought to improve odds would be a Mainland Retic or an Aussie Scrub. A Burmese may be a good pick as well.

If your goal is to own a giant snake, make sure that you have reasonable control of your destiny and finances before embarking. You will need stability and money to care for the animal(s) for 20-30 years.

Retics and burms get really big in the first year or two and then they start getting thick. If you're looking for something that matures around 10 feet but over several years, I would suggest a male yellow anaconda, olive pythons, or Papuan pythons.

I was going to suggest diamond python; if done correctly they'll still be slow-growing after 5 years. They also have very specific requirements and if not cooled down, fed correctly, and provided UVB, will die after only a few years, so a boa's probably a safer choice lol.

(maybe a future dream snake on my list lol)

Just curious, but have you owned something that gets to be medium sized before? I think a boa is a good starting point but a giant is no joke. Burms and mainland retics mean serious business as far as husbandry goes.
