So we have a unexpected guest at the farm
So we have a unexpected guest at the farm. This being our first year at the farm the I have had no idea how big our pond would get during winter. With all the rain our pond level has been rising, well it turns out that we have a unexpected guest cleaning up the back of the pond. We haven’t met him yet but we’ve found his handy work, a nice log and mud cabin and a few dams.

I never thought I would have a beaver living in my back yard so cool! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7c151e0edf.jpg

Even cooler is your reaction to sharing your pond with these creatures. I wish more people felt this way when finding wildlife on their property. :sweeet:

Cool! Maybe when you get a glimpse of the elusive creature you can try to snap a picture for us!

I’m hoping we see him or her soon. Researching on beavers they mate for life so we might have a family on the back acres!

Me too, I look at it like he is helping me clear the back acreage! Less work I have to do!

I live near Phoenix, and believe it or not two beavers showed up in a artificial lake in the city that is fed by the Salt River. The river only flows during monsoon season, and then it fills this lake for the year. So anyway somehow two beavers made it into this artificial lake surrounded by many tall buildings, etc, and they made the news. They had to be trapped and relocated.

That’s hilarious! They just wanted a little culture[emoji1787].
