This is my very first BP, Riddle, a normal morph, and I was told that he was about 4 months old. He's a little cutie :3 and I am absolutely in love with him, lol. I think he actually prefers being out of his cage more than in it (I had some issues with heating and air circulation the last two days, but I fixed that last night) and he still seems to love curling up against my leg while I work on my laptop. He's my little lap snake :3 I made sure the room is anywhere between 78 and 83 so he can wander around without getting cold, but he still just likes being right next to me most of the time.

You want to keep handling at a minimum with young snakes unless he is eating regularly for you, and he looks pretty thin.

    He's cutttte :)

Handling at a minimum...noted, thanks! The breeder had him on live pinkie mice (I think that's what he called them) every 4-5 days, so that's what I was planning to keep him on. Should he be eating something bigger?

Yes, pinkies are too small for a ball python at any age.

Hoppers would probably be the smallest right now.

No problem :D I would feed him every 5 days to start getting him up to a good weight.

Wow! He's an tiny little man. Big congrats on your first, he's adorable! I agree with AkHerps, he could definitely be on hoppers, but you should probably start him off with pinkies for the first few meals, since that's what the breeder had him on.

    Have fun with him! :)
