    Zebra Mussels in Moss Balls
Just learned about this. Zebra mussels have been found hitching rides on moss balls. They're highly invasive and destructive.

This is crazy, but not a surprise at all. Marimo moss has always been kinda sketchy depending on where you get it from. Not to trash talk box stores, but if you buy your moss balls from them you're really playing a dangerous game, and most likely are bringing home some type of parasites in the moss. Now sometimes they're harmless worms that'll just hang out in your substrate, but still.

This is the first I've heard about zebra mussels, but again it doesn't surprise me.
