    Question about poop
Hey everyone! So my ball python is going into shed and his eyes turned blue about 4 ago. I am going out of town in a few days. The problem is that my BP almost always leave a huge poo with his shed. Is it ok if the poop and shed remain in her cage for a week?

It can... but I wouldn’t recommend it...

If you can find someone to take care of your snake for the duration of your trip that would be ideal. Leaving your snake alone for a week or more can cause some issues in the case of, say: heat mat fails, snake escapes, humidity goes too low(or too high), ect. And leaving waste in the enclosure for too long can start to build bacteria growth and mold, and pretty quickly too.

It might also be the one time your snake decides to defecate in his water bowl, & then later need to drink. I've heard of snakes getting very sick that way. Chances are
he'd be fine for a week, but no one can guarantee that. Thermostats have also been known to fail & kill people's pets in just a day, while they're at work. Again, the risk
is low, but it's up to you whether or not it's worth taking the chance.
