Shed question

Our Pastel Pied just shed last night, and this morning there was some stuck shed, about a 1/4 of his body to tail. I gently put him in a warm bath (plastic tote with holes and locking lid) with a washcloth in the bottom for 20mins and put him back in his enclosure and he got the rest off with no other "human" assistance. I just checked on him and I noticed some very faint pink areas on his side (in the white, where the stuck shed was), like he rubbed it roughly to get it off. Is there anything I need to do? It's so faint I am not sure it would even pick up on a camera.


Quick facts:
We have had him for about a month and a half, he is just over 7 months old, 243g, 27.5" long. He eats F/T rat pups every 5-6 days (due to be fed tomorrow). He is in a 40 gallon glass tank with 3 sides covered and vinyl on the top covering some of the mesh to help hold the humidity. He has the Forest Floor (cypress mulch) for substrate, but also there is slightly damp moss on one side in his log for humidity. He has a UTH with thermostat that I check regularly with a temp gun. His "hot" hide/cave stays about 88-89 and his cool side (with another hide) stays about 76-77. His humidity is normally 56-65% (cool side being lower end), but a few days ago (when I noticed him going into shed) I started misting his moss filled log to keep the one side up around 78-83%. He has a large water bowl, lives alone and is handled maybe 2-3x a week for 15-20mins. No prior known health issues, he shed within 10 days when we first got him, only issues was a little trouble piece on his head that I sprayed ZooMed Repti Shedding Aid on and he got it off easily.

Tried different lighting and they are clearly visible. I just checked his temps again, and he is in his warm hide and it’s reading at 88F, these are mainly on his sides, and like I said he shed last night and the last bit this morning

Is it possible they are marks from leaning into one of his hides?

I only suggest this as I occasionally see similar-ish pinking on my BEL when she's been hiding under her bit of bark and her sides have been pressing out against it!

I guess it could be, but it hasn't ever happened before. He snuggles into the corner of his cave hide, and the cypress mulch is thinner and when he was shedding he kept circling, so that's why I thought it may have been b/c he was rough and rowdy.

So probably nothing to worry with? We aren't going to handle him for the next few days, he gets a rat pup in the morning.

I'd watch & see if it doesn't disappear in a day or so- the "blushing" might be just a slight skin irritation from his shed process, & it shows up only because he's white. Either that, or he's embarrassed now that he has "undressed" in front of you? :D

Firstly, I want to be clear that I am not in any way a medical expert.

There are several highly experienced members at this forum who can offer advice that may be more appropriate, and if they spot anything or have experienced something similar that may be of cornern, you can be confident someone will assist you the best way they can.

But for me, I would just monitor it for now. If his temps are good and he's eating well, I would steer towards them being pressure marks from where he's been chilling. If them marks remain in the same place (do not shrink) and / or spread further around him, I'd want to check in with a reptile vet specialist, personally!

I think it’s either they get stained from the bedding or some pieds just have that. I noticed my pastel pied het ghost had this after she shed as well. Thank you! He just ate this morning, so it doesn’t seem to bother him, Sunday evening or Monday morning I will get him out and see how it looks then.

I saw on another thread it might have been my fault. I noticed he was going into shed but fed him on his usual day, that might have caused the rough shed to begin with.
