    Handling: When and how often?
I have a little guy about 6 months old who I have had for about 5 weeks. I love and adore him and I want him to get use to being handled, but I don't want to overdo it. I let him settle in for the first week fed him and let him be until his next feeding. The third week he had a full shed so I left him alone again only feeding him. I know not to handle him for at least 48 hrs after feeding, but that's it. Any suggestions and or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

A this point, it sounds like he's well settled in, eating well, and behaving normally, so you can start handling when ever. I usually keep my sessions to a half hour MAX at the start, and only a couple times a week for new kids. If they don't seem phased by it, you can go from there.

When Wanda was younger, we got her out for about 15 mins every night (except shedding and feeding obviously).

Thanks, 15 minutes seems to work well for both of us!

My BPs are handled for 30 minutes or so a few times a week. The boa is handled more than that. She likes it. The BPs deal with it. They probably wouldn't be handled so much but the gf loves to hold them. They chill with her when she is in bed reading and will hold them as long as they stay still. Once they start with the "alright put me up now" stuff, I put them up. lol
