Three of the four eggs died.
Hello everyone.This is my first breeding, on September 18 my female spider laid 4 eggs and one slug.The father was pastel mojave. I put the clutch in an egg box with vermiculite in the incubator.The temperature in the incubator was 87.8-88.3 degrees. The ratio of vermiculite to water was 1:1. I put the eggs in small pits in the vermiculite. One egg during the incubation was a little moldy and I used a powder against fungus.On day 59 of incubation I saw that 2 eggs was pipping. One of them baby showed his head.I decided to cut the eggs.I made neat incisions but the babies did not move except for one egg. I left them in the incubator.The next day the baby from one egg came out and I decided to see the rest.I gently touched the babies in the eggs with a blunt object, but they did not move. I gently looked inside the eggs and tried to get the heads out, I did this but they still wouldn't move.I also found that 3 of the four eggs had pipped.The babies were fully developed and were trying to pip. What could have gone wrong? Any advice I can think of.

Maybe try the natural method next time ?
I left mum sat around / over the eggs - in her viv .
She laid them in the warm hide ( surface temp 91F) and I simply put a layer of sphagnum moss around and touched under the hide and sprayed it well each day .
All the eggs hatched out perfectly and without cutting .

I was so emotionally attached I kept them all ( so now I have 6 Albino Royals )

:rofl: You sound a lot like me- I've bred some snakes in the past, but I ended up with far too many that I couldn't bear to part with, lol. Money-motivated I'm not- at least not with animals.

I think maternal incubation is affecting the health of the female.The temperature and humidity in my incubator were stable and the babies in the eggs are fully developed and even tried to pip.I would not want to repeat mistakes, there are 2 more clutches in the incubator, so I ask for advice.

Sometimes there can just be issues with a particular pairing. But it is really tough when they look like they're doing okay and then just never make it out. I'm sorry for the loss regardless.
The probe was in an egg box, on vermiculite. In addition, I measured the temperature in different parts of the incubator and it was 88-89 degrees.
