Re: Frank - The Blue Tongue Skink
Frank finished shedding last night. He looks good. Really bright and vibrant colors, not like last week in Dullsville.
He gets cranky when he sheds so I pretty much leave him alone unless he has trouble and needs a soak.
He managed to shed pretty well, but also push his printless newspaper substrate all over the place and pee and poop multiple times on the floor of his cage. Thank you for that Frank!
Took a good twenty minutes to get everything right and clean in his tank today. However, as stated, he's happy and calm now, and looks great!

Re: Frank - The Blue Tongue Skink
Frank is doing well and is up to about 660G. He seems good and eats 2X a week (about every 3-4 days). However, I am putting even more vegetables and fruit in his weekly "lower protein" meal. It's about 20% ferret pellets and the rest is veggies and a little fruit. The other meal has a little wet dog food, or snails, or an occasional pinkie.
Frank ate today and I got a couple good photos and a nice video as well.

LOL! Yeah, Frank is a trip!
He's usually pretty calm, but he lets you know, in a nice way (usually evil eyes), if he doesn't like what you are doing.
Most of the time, he just chills though.

Re: Frank - The Blue Tongue Skink
Frank doesn't get much love on here, but we spent some quality time today.
He's doing great and is mellow as can be (as long as you support his body). Being a ground dweller, he's often afraid of falling if not supported. He doesn't try to bite, but is strong and flails around.
Here are two pics from today:

Yeah, morphs are starting to appear now. He's a normal, but still beautiful. He's got a ton of personality!
If you get one, keep in mind they need a lot of space for their size and higher heat and UVB for their hot spots.

I certainly will thank you!

Can't blame him for instinctively not wanting to "fly thru the air". Snakes can hang on better, but even THEY like to be supported & sheltered next to us.
Poor Frank, losing some attention to that new little gecko-tyrant!
