This is a great thread. Very informative and quite on the mark. I guess I would like to see someone create an equivalent thread for Sellers. While I've been breeding animals a number of years, I have only just recently started selling online through Morph Market. So I do not have much of a reputation out there yet for people to research.

May I share this in a discussion group I moderate as long as I give you credit?

Of course, or just post the link as I've had to update it periodically. When I first wrote it Venmo wasn't available, and there were different Facebook groups for doing research as Facebook has since clobbered the original ones.

I added this to the "Don't" list for buyers since I'm seeing instances of it 2-3 times a week now on other forums or Facebook:

DON'T respond expressing interest to someone else's add with your own cell phone number or email address. Scammers will text or email you pretending to be the seller, get a payment, and disappear.

Always use the web site's private PM/messaging system to contact the seller.
