Parachromis Dovii

I just wanted to share some pics of my male Dovii. He's an F1 Rio Heredian. I picked him up just over a year ago at less than 3/4" long. He's now somewhere between 10-12 inches. He also has much more blue/purple than what is shown, but I am having a hard time capturing it.

Very nice. My dad keeps saltwater reef tanks, but I do love a nice freshwater. :D

Thanks! I have mostly FW predatory and communtiy tanks, but I also have a few reef tanks and nano reefs.

Never heard of one of those (I don't know a ton about fish either though) but it is pretty cool looking :gj:

Thanks! They are one of the largest cichlids and considered by many to be one of the most aggressive fish in the hobby. He has a mouth full of teeth to go with his attitude too!

Ohhhhhh!! I really like him now :D I have always been a big Pacu and Oscar fan!! The teeth pic you just posted is cool too :gj:

I love freshwater fish.

One of these days I'm going to set up a huge native fish tank.

They're by far my favorite cichlid. I used to have a 24" pacu...They are a great fish, they just get huge!
