    Little rat, Hua.2010-2013
    [pronounced "Hwah"]

I have kept pet rats since I was nine years old. My friend and I both had female rats, she had to surrender them to me because if a bad family situation. I have had this one old rat for about a year in my care. She was out on the floor, having escaped the cage. I had a little barrier up even, because I had her free-ranging a second ago. Well, the greyhound got her...she parilyzed her I think, she died almost instantly, in my arms. Poor thing, she died doing her favorite thing, skulking around the room. Rest in peace.:(

Sorry to hear. What did you do with the dog immediately after? I would have probably lost it on the dog even though it wasn't the dog's fault.

Well, I completley ignored the fact she just killed her I was kind of in shock, and it completley was my fault. I left the rat out while I went to do some random thing, and this greyhound has killed wild rats before, and been praised for it...I think it was a wrong time, wrong place moment.
