Gopher Snake in Mouse Trap
So last night I set a catch-em-alive mouse trap and woke up this morning to find a fat gopher snake inside it! I thought you all would be interested to see it. I think it's funny that it happened upon a free dinner and went in the trap. :D

I have a kingsnake that normally gets the mice I catch. I think he was happy to share with this clever girl though!
I would not recommend feeding wild caught mice to a pet snake. You don't know what it has been eating. What if it ate rat poison before you caught it. Or drank oil or antifreeze. Plus you take chances that it has mites or something else

Ah I see! Yeah, I wouldn't recommend feeding them to pet snakes either, just in case. Having eaten poison or having parasites or worms being my main concern.
