Also, luckily, all the reptile thermostats I own are Herpstat 2 Redlines (and I was already planning to grab a couple more while they're on sale this month, anyway), so that will make for an easy setup transition.
Your ready to go then. Thats what I use too are the Herpstat 2’s. I love them [emoji1360][emoji1360]
Sounds like you have a great plan.

Quick question, how'd you mount the pole diagonally in that setup??

Yes Boaphile is 1/4”. Terrible..
On my AP enclosures I use Shower Curtain Pole Hangers from Lowes. They are like $5.

Love the shower rod idea. I may try that out myself, when the time comes.

All day bro.. I use them in t-12’s.
4’x2’x2’. I use 125 watt on the basking side. 91 Basking and 80 cool running at 80% power output on my herpstat. I rather run the larger incase the furnace broke and the house dropped to 50 mid winter. I also have a 88 watt Pro panel (i think he rounded them now to 90 watt) that I bought 10 years ago and that works fine too but the cool side dropped to 74 when the house got down to 60 degrees so thats why i ungraded them all to 125 watt...
I use 150 watt in my 8’ enclosures.

Do you use the tension mounts on the pole hangers? Wondering if they are sufficient to hold the weight. Do you remove them for full cage cleanings?
Just put in my order for the T12 with a shelf and curious if folks typically install the climbing bar with screws or some method such as the tension bar.

I use PVC pipe pained brown. Yes the Shower Curtain Tod holders have a screw hole in them. Go to the shower curtain rod holders and then match the PVC Pipe size. Mine might be 1.5” cant remember. I use F10sc for cleaning so no i do not remove them to clean. I spray, wipe enclosure and let dry.
