ASF fooling my BP by playing dead !!!!
Just for laughs but I needed to share with fellow herpers haha. My Lil yellow belly BP Kronos has a dislike for frozen thawed since his winter fast ended but he started eating again when offered live ASF rats. Today I got his rat put and the thing was an active little bugger with spunk compared to previous feeds lol grabbed him with my tongs and he was freaking out and as soon as Kronos was in front of it and licked it, the thing just did a quick body jolt and went stiff. It stayed so still I was poking it and it wouldn't move. If I put him near the water dish he would arch his back and lift his head so he would not drown but still look dead. After a while Kronos gave up on it and went back to his hide. That little rat tricked my little man and that was hilarious ( I know other factors could be in play but this is hilarious this way) . Told the bugger he saved himself for now but his fate is still sealed as I dropped him in my boa enclosure and walked away laughing like a maniac lol
