    Maybe he's practicing? I used to have a male rosy boa that I occasionally saw doing self-soothing-circles -they have spurs too, btw. Perhaps snakes have fantasies also? We'll never know... :D

    I caught my male retic self spurring a few times when I still had him. This sorta looks more like the spur is snagging on scales as the tail moves backwards to me. Spurring, at least with my retic, was a lot more twitchy and deliberate looking if that makes sense.

    Yes, I know what you mean & it was like that with my rosy boa too, plus he was sorta was doing "donuts" (tight circles) on himself, lol. And you're right, when they mean to move their spurs, it looks deliberate with back & forth motions.

    Ball pythons in my opinion, males especially, are horny little monsters. During the beginning of the year to the start of summer I find more sperm then I care to acknowledge. Lmao ✌️
