    got my first burm today! im so excited! its a male, unnamed right now, and he is 100% het for granite, not that it matters, im not breeding them.

    thanks guys. i love normals, my favorite snake ever. he was nippy and hissy earlyer, hes calmed down now. at least he dosnt strike or hiss if i go up to the tank.

    Yeah they will do that. More so while they are young. Both of mine still hiss for no reason even while i am holding them and they are over a year old now. It is something that will go away when they get older.

    I dont know if its becuase i havent been here as much as i used to or i just missed your threads but i didnt even know you were planning on getting a burmese python ! Good luck with him :)

    neither. i didnt plan on getting a burm till the day i got it. i went to a reptile show, and it was there, and i had an extra cage at home and knew that id have time to build him a cage so i figured why not. i feel ready for a burm.

    He's very handsome! That's a major committment taking on a burm I would think. We'd love one ourselves but not for a few years to come.

    What does he eat at that size?
