Carpets rule, here's no doubt about that, but I agree with Reinz and would suggest considering a boa. If I had gotten into them earlier I'd definitely have more of them. I love their heavy bodies and their slower movement.

Can’t agree more. After all of my retic shenanigans and then getting into carpets and boas, I wish I’d have gotten into them waaaaaaaaay before now.

As a (new) Tarahumara keeper, I'd gently remind you and Katie that Boas don't need to be huge! The typically slow movement of Boas plus the small size and lovely colors of some of the dwarf localities might work out really well for you guys.

I took my boy out for some sun and captured a few shots of him showing off his arboreal skills. The sun decided to hide behind some clouds though. He's looking pretty long in a few of the pics.

Please excuse the two separate posts, Tapatalk seems confused lately...

Hes still pretty tiny. He weighed in just over 100 grams empty 2 meals ago. I'd guess maybe 20", but that's just a ballpark.

I swear him and my Bredli get longer every day, hahahhaha. They're adding girth too, but mostly length so far.

Beautiful jungle brother! What's not to love about Morelia? There's nothing like seeing them in the sunlight and open spaces imo. He looks big in those pics and he's gonna get even bigger and better as he grows. That's a perfect climbing tree for your carpets too. It has lots of supportive branches but it's not too high for them to get away from you. Get them outside when you can and enjoy the show!!
