    Came across this article and shook my head. A news channel reports 4 species of venomous snakes are found in Indiana. One of them reported is the Water Mocasin. I'm not a resident nor an expert on Indiana but I think odds of winning the lottery 16 times would be more likely than ever seeing a Water Mocasin in Indiana.

    They have a subspecies of Agkistrodon piscivorus, also called water moccasins.

    The Western Cottonmouth can be found inKentucky, Tennessee, southern Illinois, and it hasbeen found in only two locations in southernIndiana. It can be found south to Alabama andTexas, west to Oklahoma and into southernMissouri. The Western Cottonmouth is anendangered species in Indiana.
    I still like the lottery odds better.:)
