What Did You have For Lunch Today?

as i'm multitasking between work, boredom and foruming right now, i thought it might be fun to share what we ate today. :)

i had a lunch date with my bff. we went to a vietnamese cafe at the corner and i had a noodle soup dish called Mì Quảng. it was delish and looked kinda like this:

Popeye's Chicken. Spicy chicken fingers and fries to be exact. I am smoking some pork chops for dinner.

I went to a Vietnamese restaurant near my college today too! Lol I took my mom out since she was upset over my sister leaving the nest as she did. So I thought maybe going somewhere to eat and talk would help out a bit. We had the Taí Pho with extra chicken, spring rolls, and Thai tea. Delish.

Today I had my cheat meal... chipotle bowl.. yes I know I know - e coli... I couldn't resist.. I tried :oops:.... So worth it.. today at least LOL.
White Rice - Black Beans - double chicken - sour cream - cheese - lettuce... and chips n guac :rolleye2:... don't judge me!

Today I had... 5 saltine crackers for breakfast, nothing for lunch, and now i'm eating empty hot dog buns. Who let me live on my own?!

Er...left over chicken sprinkled over a salad made of kale and romaine, a bottle of grape juice, a bottle of orange juice, and two tablespoons full of Dayquil. Have no idea how I got sick but I got sick. Lol

I had a baby homemade burger lol and some cucumbers to follow. I love lunch

I had leftover tofu chili, with Spanish rice.

(Yup I have to cook two meals for each meal.... hubby wants his meat!!)

I had... homemade mapo tofu with rice for lunch. And for dinner, two green tea red bean buns. :U

Oo I wanna learn how to make those buns....

I had javelina tacos for lunch and fresh rabbit and veggies done in crockpot for dinner..

we had a St. Patty's Day potluck and i brought a shamrock shake!

Chicken enchilada, with beans and rice!

My wife's mystery chili (she sneaks asian vegetables into everything since I am primarily a carnivore and have to be tricked into consuming vegetable matter). It was really NOT good.

I'm gonna try little cesar's steak house pizza in a bit wish my arteries the best lol. A part of me thinks it looks good and a part of me thinks its kinda gross.

Oh we do lol. We eat real pizza every saturday. I only go to little cesars some times. Im off today and was thinkin of a quick big lunch in my defense. But yes chicago got some good pizza. Some of the best are Lou malnati's, Connies and Giordano's and in chicago even the little places are pretty good.

I had sticky rice with kimche and gochujang.

I am not Asian but a lot of my friends are due to my extracurricular activities and I have eaten the "real" version of a lot of different foods. I can leave Chinese food. Japanese is just blah to me. Vietnamese I have all the time so its kind of "normal". Korean and Thai I can't get enough of and can't decide which is better.

ok after presenting at the university, i stopped by Caliburger b/c hey why not, it's lunch and i'm in the U-District. Caliburger who the peeps who may or may not know, is a knockoff franchise of the famous California chain In-N-Out Burger.

a cheeseburger w/ reg sliced onions and bacon. the real In-N-Out doesn't have bacon, chicken or mushrooms (which Caliburger does).

ok this was kinda disappointing. the buns were way too toasted (or old). the cheeseburger had too much lettuce. i'm not sure if the fries are fresh cut and blanched like In-N-Out but they look nothing like the real thing. maybe the cook had an off day, maybe i'll go back but they're whatever burgers.

I had some pulled pork sandwiches today. Delicious!!

i once had a pulled-pork sandwich from Subway and it was a buncha crap. i had one my friend made w/ a homemade Cherry Coke (maybe Dr. Pepper?) BBQ sauce and it was so bomb!

Bampmaster strikes again. Pizza and fries. The fun part is that someone visited the office and brought it for us so free lunches do exist

Yup, made it myself. And i use DrPepper!! I braise the pork butt in it, then add some more when adding the bbq sauce. I use sweet baby ray's.
